The question kept coming back: what are we really looking for when we travel?

Over time, we discovered that travel isn’t just about sights or attractions.

It’s about atmosphere. Silence when you need it. An aesthetic that doesn’t overwhelm. The feeling that someone thought about the details before you even noticed them. We love nature and the closeness of the sea. It has always inspired us and continues to guide us.

But that’s exactly why we wanted to create something different — in the city, in the heart of Gdańsk. An intimate place, with only 12 rooms. A place that doesn’t overwhelm, but gives you space to breathe.

A place where simplicity and details find the perfect balance.

And that’s how our motto was born.

Not written on a piece of paper, not invented for marketing.

Rather, as a principle we ourselves began to follow:

“Let’s create something not for everyone. Only for those looking for more than just a place to sleep.”

For us, MOTTO is more than a name.

It’s a way of looking at travel – as a moment when you can slow down and feel at home, even far from home.

This isn’t a place for everyone.
